Rossini in Wildbad - Il barbiere di Siviglia - The Barber of Seville

Poor Bartolo! Whatever he tries to do to keep his self-confident ward Rosina under control and marry her: It's in vain. Someone always interferes. Our performance is about The useless caution, namely the tragicomic contortions of Bartolo, who is literally soaped up in between by count Almaviva and Figaro and himself betrayed by his scheming assistant Basilio.

When ROSSINI performs the most famous opera in the world, it has to be something special. And of course we looked around for excellent soloists. Antonino Fogliani has already presented his gripping, unusually gritty interpretation of the piece in Venice's Teatro La Fenice, opening our ears anew. Jochen Schönleber is staging this masterpiece for the first time at the Slowacki Theatre in Krakow.
